The general district court and juvenile and domestic relations courts in the City of Salem are combined, having the same clerk and Commonwealth’s Attorney but different judges. For years we have been representing clients for all types of cases, including those pertaining to juveniles and violence among family members. The Commonwealth’s Attorney for Salem is Thomas Bowers, and Carolyn Robbins serves as the court clerk.

Typically the first time slot for criminal cases is designated for arraignments. If you hire a Roanoke defense attorney for a criminal misdemeanor, you will likely not have to show up for any initial court dates or arraignments, leaving the pre-trial work to the defense. In instances where you may be required to appear, we can file for a continuance with the clerk’s office when we file a letter of representation for your case.
